RK is a full service Traffic/Transportation and Environmental Engineering firm who serves both our Public and Private Sector Clients. Our firm has been in operation for the past 30-years and has a large array of long standing clients. We are looking for a “Self-starter” who is interested in being part of the RK Team.

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded Civil Engineer with at least 10 years’ experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning and traffic operations. The candidate must have traffic engineering design experience in the areas of traffic signal, signing/striping and work site traffic control design. The use of AutoCAD design is important for this position. It is also highly desirable to have traffic operations experience including traffic signal timing and coordination. The candidate should be familiar with AutoCAD, Synchro, HCS and other traffic engineering software tools. Familiarity with the California MUTCD, Caltrans Design Manual and the California Vehicle Code is required.

This is a senior technical management position. The position will require producing traffic engineering plans and documents that are required by our clients. The position will supervise several staff engineers supporting this division of the company. Good management and verbal/written skills are an important for this position. The candidate will prepare technical analysis and studies as part of his/her work assignments. Some field work would be required to help support the various engineering studies. Presentations to our clients both private and public sector will be an important part of the position. Also, marketing of RK’s design and traffic operations services will also be part of the services to be provided.
